Rains Can’t Stop Haudenosaunee Paddlers

Despite continued rain and thunderstorms (anyone say climate change?), the Haudenosaunee paddlers made it to Albany, carrying a replica of the Two Row Wampum belt. Although they have had to carry their canoes around closed locks on the Erie Canal, get off the water because of safety concerns, they have persevered and received support all along the way.  Below they are pictured with a manager of the Erie Canal who agreed to open up the lock just for them to pass through earlier today.

Let’s continue polishing the chain and renewing the Two Row!
